Shaving brush: Finally a boar brush I like

I have over the years tried many different shaving brushes with boar bristles. I’m not fond of them, except one: The Semogue 1305.

Some time ago I bought a brush from the Portuguese manufacturer Semogue, and I must say — I really like it!

The brush is, as are all boar brushes, stiff when dry. But having been in the water for a few minutes this brush gets much softer than any other boar brush I’ve tried. When it is wet it reminds me of a horsehair brush (Vie Long) — but it is of course still stiffer than a badger brush.

A very good brush that I would recommend to those who want a brush with good elasticity/”spring” in the bristles, but not too stiff.

I'll leave it in water for approx. 5 minutes

It makes great lather (this is from a Musgo Real classic soap)

    • Thank you very much. But since this blog is a hobby, I do not want to ask people for money.
But it is possible I have to think of a way to fund it if I decide to put more work into it:-)
