I<\/span> discovered<\/span> the art of<\/span> shaving with<\/span> “double<\/span> edge<\/span> razor<\/span>” a few years<\/span> ago.<\/span> Thanks to the internet<\/span> and the many<\/span> shaving<\/span> related sites<\/span> out there it is<\/span>\u00a0now<\/span> possible to<\/span> learn<\/span> this art.<\/span>

\nAlthough most<\/span> of the western world<\/span> are now using<\/span> “<\/span>mutiblade plastic<\/span> razors<\/span>,” there is still<\/span> a huge market<\/span> for<\/span>\u00a0DE-razors<\/span> and blades out there.<\/span> Many men<\/span> still<\/span> appreciate<\/span> the little<\/span> “<\/span>ritual” a proper<\/span> wet shave<\/span> provides.<\/span><\/p>\n

The oldest<\/span> razor I have is Kampfe Bros.’ “Star” from ca. 1890<\/span>. The newest razor i have,<\/span> is a<\/span> Merkur<\/span> 34c<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0Many consider this as the best\u00a0razor that is produced<\/span> today.<\/span> It<\/span> is<\/span> quite heavy<\/span> and a bit “<\/span>aggressive”.\u00a0 T<\/span>he best combination of<\/span> smootheness<\/span> and no cuts, i get from my<\/span> Gillette<\/span> Aristocrat<\/span> No58 from 1953,<\/span>\u00a0and a<\/span> Gillette<\/span> Slim Adjustable from the 1960’s.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a while, i also started collecting, and using, straight razors. I really love the whole ritual of honing, stropping and shaving with a straight razor.<\/p>\n

I’m going to<\/span> post pictures<\/span> – and give<\/span> my reviews of<\/span> products and equipment<\/span> in this blog.<\/p>\n
